Breast Augmentation and Implants

The size of breasts is genetically determined. Once developed, the breasts may fluctuate in size in response to changes in weight, pregnancy and breast feeding.

The aging process causes the shape of the breast to change so that they gradually droop (called ptosis). This effect is greater following pregnancy, breast feeding and in particular after a large weight loss. Most women have breasts of slightly different sizes, but occasionally a very marked difference may develop.

Women are choosing breast augmentation to enhance their profile and improve the appearance of breasts that show signs of aging or changes after child bearing.

Breast augmentation is one of the most common procedures in cosmetic plastic surgery.

If you are dissatisfied with your breast size, augmentation surgery is a choice to consider. Breast augmentation can:

· Improve your breast capacity

· Change your figure stature

· Change your personal image

The procedure involves using implants for fuller breasts or to restore breast volume.

Breast augmentation is performed by inserting a breast implant behind breast tissue or above the breast muscle. Implants come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with varying designs, in a range of materials. They can be placed in different positions through a variety of incision locations.

Breast surgery is a medical procedure that requires advanced surgical skill. The goal is to leave your breasts looking as natural as possible, while enlarging them to your desired size. Because of the surgery's complexity, you should use a certified plastic surgeon who has experience in all aspects of breast enhancement.

Breast Lifts

Women who experience weight loss, or go through a pregnancy, typically experience a bit of reduction in their breasts firmness. These processes affect our body's status, as it becomes difficult to revive the breasts to their original shape and form.

If your breasts don't have the same kind of firmness and shape they once had, a breast lift surgery can improve your situation. Breast lifts have become a popular procedure for the restoration of breasts.
The breast lift surgery can be combined with a breast augmentation that could further enhance the size and appearance of the breasts.

Breast Reduction (Liposuction)

Women who have very large breasts may experience medical problems that are caused by the additional weight. Liposuction is useful since it reduces the size of the breasts and rids you the chronic pain of the head, neck, back, and shoulders, plus circulation and breathing problems. Breast reduction liposuction is also useful for reducing the size of breasts that essentially cause bra straps and marks on shoulders.
Breast liposuction reduces the amount of fat in the breast region for both female and male patients. Breast liposuction is less painful than traditional breast reduction surgery. In addition breast liposuction is virtually scarless, while traditional breast reduction surgery usually leaves some large scarring.

The operation

Breasts can be made larger by placing an implant either under the breast tissue or behind the muscle on which the breast lies. Implants are usually inserted through incisions in the inframammary fold. Alternatively, the incisions may be made around the areola or in the armpit.
